Samsung has turned the fictional Sung Family, created entirely with artificial intelligence, into a social media mini-series to illustrate the connectivity between its smart home products. The work, by consciouslab, showcases the Bespoke AI product family and the SmartThings platform through everyday home scenes.

A fictional family, real usage moments

In the series, the Sung Family encounters small situations in their home life that become short stories explaining how connected devices work. In addition to full-length episodes, content is also released in Shorts format, revolving around themes such as an open door, a busy day, a morning alarm, unexpected guests, and remote service.

According to Samsung's statement, SmartThings scenarios—such as cooling activating as the user approaches home, monitoring laundry and drying processes from a single app, or the 'Good Evening' mode coordinating different devices—are woven into the family members' daily routines.

Product narrative distributed across episode structure

In the mini-series, functions like the refrigerator recognizing its contents and suggesting recipes are presented as part of the plot rather than as standalone product demonstrations. Thus, the series becomes a social media format that tells the technical feature list through characters and a recurring universe.

The content created for the Sung Family is published on Samsung's social media channels in both full episodes and short video formats.
