Agency
In a Nutshell
An agency is an organization that produces communication, advertising, design, strategy, content, and campaigns for brands. It consists of creative teams, strategists, account managers, and execution teams. In theory: a creative solution center. In practice: a regular crisis management zone.
What It Really Means
From the outside, an agency looks colorful, dynamic, and creative. From the inside, it's a structure where ideas, stress, meetings, coffee, revisions, and last-minute demands all happen simultaneously.
Agencies offer brands order, ideas, and solutions. But internally, they often operate with disorder, time pressure, and ambiguity.
The strange thing about agency life: everyone works hard to better explain someone else's brand, but often struggles to explain their own labor.
The agency is where creativity collides with the timesheet.
